The Kasco 3400HD is a 3/4 HP, 208-240V submersible propeller de-icer drawing 3.1 running amps (744 VA) and producing 37 lbs of thrust. Kasco specifies a 4 ft minimum water depth; we recommend 6 ft. See minimum water depth. The higher-voltage motor allows longer cord runs than the 120V 3400D.
