What does the 3400D nameplate list?

The nameplate on a 3400D identifies the unit as a “De-Icer Water Agitator” and carries the certification and construction data below: an ETL listing, three safety standards, a continuous-duty rating, and the oil-filled motor construction. None of it appears in the published specification table, and no reseller listing in this category publishes it at all.

How this block was sourced, and one discrepancy These figures were read from a photograph of the nameplate on a physical 3400D with a manufacturing date of 06/12/15, not from a published table. Two limits follow from that. First, they describe one production build; other runs may differ, and the certification standards cited are the editions current at that build date. Second, the nameplate reads 6.7 A while Kasco’s published specification table gives 6.6 running amps, which is the figure in the specification table above. These are not necessarily in conflict: nameplate current and published running current are conventionally different quantities, and the two sources are eleven years apart. The published 6.6 A figure stands as this page’s specification; 6.7 A is recorded here as what the unit itself states. Sizing and circuit decisions should use the higher figure. Nameplate data has not been captured for the 2400D, 3400HD, 4400D or 4400HD, so no certification block is published on those pages rather than extrapolating this one.
