Ice Damage Prevention

Winter ice damages docks and marine structures through three main mechanisms: ice jacking (vertical uplift of pilings), lateral expansion pressure against fixed structures, and wind-driven ice shove. Continuous water circulation from a de-icer or bubbler helps prevent ice from forming a solid grip on structures.
