01 / A BETTER STARTING POINT

Your water.
Your winter plan.

A private dock and a marina need different conversations. Start with three quick details. No email required.

THE SCIENCE IS SIMPLE. THE SETUP MATTERS.

Move the water.
Help hold back the ice.

A submerged propeller circulates warmer water from below toward the surface. That movement helps maintain an opening around the structures you want to protect.

  1. 01

    Start with depth.

Manufacturer minimum: 4 ft. We recommend 6 ft or more for access to warmer water.

  2. 02

    Place it where protection matters.

Position and angle affect the opening. Plan for the dock, the hulls and the water between them.

  3. 03

    Choose the complete setup.

Match motor size, cord, mounting and controls to your site—not just its square footage.

03 / MARINAS & COMPLEX SITES

Protect the layout.
Not just one opening.

Multiple slips, shoreline gangways and rows of pilings call for a placement plan. Angled flow, overlapping openings or several units may be appropriate. Let’s work through the layout before you choose equipment.

BEFORE YOU BUY

Good questions.
Clear answers.

How do I know which horsepower I need?

Start with depth, coldest sustained temperature, the layout and the opening you need. Our sizing planner compares published manufacturer figures. A larger motor alone does not solve poor placement or shallow water. For a marina or uncertain site, call the team.

What will the complete setup cost?

The model cards show recently checked base prices. Cord length, mounts and controllers can change that price. Choose your configuration in the store to see its current price; the checkout confirms applicable tax and final delivery costs before payment. Read shipping and return terms.

Can I protect a whole marina with one unit?

There is no reliable one-unit answer without reviewing the site. Boats and pilings interrupt circulation, while depth, current and wind affect the opening. A combination of placement, angle and multiple units may be needed. Discuss your layout with Natural Waterscapes.

Does an angled mount make a longer opening?

It can create a longer, narrower opening instead of the circular opening associated with vertical suspension. The best direction depends on your shoreline and structures. The placement planner shows both shapes at a consistent scale; it is an illustration, not a circulation simulation.

Where do I order, and who helps after the sale?

Order through Natural Waterscapes using the product links on this page. For product selection, order questions or setup guidance, call 877-493-7660, Monday–Friday, 8 am–6 pm ET. Kasco D-Series units have a three-year manufacturer warranty, subject to its terms.

What should I know about installation and safety?

Follow the exact model’s manual for mounting, clearance and electrical requirements. Use GFCI protection, mark open water and keep people away from thin ice. A de-icer changes ice conditions beyond the visible opening. Review the safety guide.
